Here at OLP, we are a Catholic School where the children wear uniforms everyday. However, there are certain times throughout the year when the students get to "dress down" for the day...Today, we had a special day at school to bring awareness to Autism. Students brought in a dollar donation, and in turn they were able to wear whatever they wanted for the day. Autism Awareness is a special cause near to one of my student's hearts, because her cousin Eric is autistic. He has been enrolled in a clinical trial in Panama which uses stem cells to help non verbal children with autism develop language. Their family has started a fundraiser for his treatment in order to help with costs. OLP will be donating ALL of the money that was collected today to help their family.
