We also reviewed what we know about money and how to create a bar graph. Students used a paperclip to create a "spinner", and then graphed which coin they spun. They then analyzed the information by answering questions based on their graphs:
For grammar practice this week, we review how to properly use "I" in a sentence. We practicing the rule that "I" is always capitalized. The students completed a cut/sort/glue/color activity where they had to distinguish between a "correct" sentence and "not correct" sentence:
Then, we took all of the "not correct" sentences, and re-wrote them properly:
I loved everything about this lesson. I'm such a stickler for correct grammar, and your students are off to a great start. The "lucky" spin of the coin is a awesome lesson on math ratios and graphs. You are the best teacher ever!!! (In my little girl's voice) Lol
